          I graduated from Kent State University with a degree in photojournalism. If you’re not familiar with the term “photojournalism” simply put, it’s capturing real moments of real people. There is no posing or fake smiles.

I have worked in media photography for several years. My job consists of shooting portraits, sports, and candid everyday events. I was also the multimedia director for The Morning Journal in Lorain, OH, which I produced photo pieces with audio. I won first place in the state for best feature photograph of the year from the Ohio News Photographers Association. I have also won second place in Ohio for a portrait photograph and third place in the country for spot news.

 Lately, my passion has been shooting weddings. I love the idea that a couple has chosen me to record their special day. I am proud to be called a wedding photojournalist, rather than simply a wedding photographer.
